This is the first musical release of mine since I began taking my Catholic faith seriously. Which happened in December 2019. My life changed at that point. I hope you enjoy this new contextual wrapping for my guitar playing. What hasn't changed, however, is my playing. Although I do believe I am at my best in this recording, and the approach explicitly as prayer lends more to the experience.
This is also the first musical release (not ever, but in a very long time) where I do no give it away for free. This album is exclusively available here on Bandcamp.
You might find the volume level quite low on this. It's kind of like a vinyl mastering. I wanted to avoid clipping at all costs. I honestly don't know how to make it loud without introducing any clipping. Even so, you will hear occasional tiny blips which have to do with the limitations of my digital sound card. I figured increasing the Audio Buffer would've prevented any of those glitches, but alas. They are few and far between anyway and did not interfere with my own listening experience.
The mallet percussionist and improviser's solo debut is flush with nostalgic melodies and stirring dissonances—a rich, experimental universe well worth exploring. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 15, 2021
